Here are some of my personal projects and freelance work
In 2011 I directed my first short film. Ostrander written by Ian McWethy is a dark comedy about a theater critic who becomes obsessed with Anne Hathaway. With my first film I tried to emulate the films I love, like the works of the Coen brothers and Harold and Maude by Hal Ashby.
In 2015 I directed my second short film, written by Cassie Foote. Another dark comedy. This film follows a group of college roommates as they attend the funeral of their friend. This film challenged me to work with a larger cast and balance the stories of five characters in only 15 minutes.
Over the years I directed a handful of ambitious micro-budget music videos for the band Montgomery Streets and Tony nominee Brittain Ashford. I always strive to do the most with the limited resources available.
During the pandemic I made the most of a shut down world with projects like Delivery Boy - a song from Quarantine the Musical that I filmed with my partner Bex Odorisio, inside our Brooklyn Apartment - and Carbon - a segment from Oratorio for Living Things, by Obie Award winner Heather Christian - produced as a virtual choir after their 2020 production was canceled due to the pandemic.
My work as a co-editor on the film 7 Splinters happened in 2011 but the film's long journey to release kept it from being seen until 2018. Working on a feature film was thrilling early in my work as a film editor especially a trippy time-traveling epic like this one.
